Found that we needed to be in Tempe, so we moved after one night. Really like this motel and would use it again if activities were closer to Surprise.

Location: Food right across the street. A mall and shopping within a couple of miles.
The room was really clean and the staff were great and very friendly. Would definately stay there again.

You get what you pay forPosted Sep 20, 2015
Pros: Bedding and linens were clean, fresh and changed daily. The rate was great but we now know why.
Cons: The carpeting and floors need to be deep cleaned or replaced as they are dirty, old.
Location: The area is a little questionable but is centrally located to the various Sun City areas. The hotel is back off the main road & access a bit limited.
The front desk was courteous but dealing with an underwhelming product in this hotel. The rooms are noisy from guests walking above to the barking dog in the room across the hall. The drapes did not close completely without the aid of a spare paper clip. The in-room refrigerator and microwave were not plugged in upon arrival. The microwave did not work at all. And on and on the list can continue. The one bright light was the housekeeping service which did a great job on bedding, linens and keeping the bathroom as clean as they could.

Good ValuePosted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: Location and value
Cons: Not much at this value level
Location: Good shopping and nearby sports facilities
We were in the hotel for four nights and found the experience favourable. The staff were friendly, cooperative and very helpful when called upon. The property was exactly as advertised and did not try to be more than it is, a value priced hotel that provided good basics including a continental breakfast which was up to industry standard.

good price and breakfastPosted Aug 19, 2015
It was good price and clean hotel. They had good breakfast and safe location. I would go again. The rooms were clean and the queen beds were comfortable. It was near Surprise AZ, where I was visiting family. 1 hr from airport. 30-40 minutes from downtown Phoenix.

What a surprise in Surprise, AZ. -Posted Aug 16, 2015
Pros: Upon opening the door to our room the wife and I were very surprised on how clean it was. No weird smells.
Cons: Room was recently updated as well as restroom. They do need to put shower doors/curtains on shower. AC could use a checkup. Need shade for cars.
Location: Even though, Bell Road is a very busy street, the hotel sets back enough so that you hear no noise. Beds pillows were comfortable. Fridge, microwave.
Was surprised Hotel was clean and staff pleasant. During the month of August Arizona can get a bit toasty. Our visit was no exception. It just so happens that the heat record for the day of our visit in August was 117 degrees ! A new record ! Upon entrance to the hotel, it was nice, cool, and clean. Staff was pleasant. Liked the morning "free" simple breakfast which was waffles, hard boiled eggs, Yogurt, toast, dry cereal and oh yea... Coffee !!! (not bad).

Disappointing Room Surprise in Surprise, AZ.Posted Jul 25, 2015
Cons: Making sure that the room they give you has a shower curtain in the shower if your not handicap.
Location: Close to shops and restaurants.
We checked in around 5pm on a Friday afternoon. The hotel manager gave us our room key and we proceeded to our Room which was right next door to the breakfast room. We didn't realize till later that night when we decided to take a shower that our bathroom shower didn't have a shower curtain or door. We went up to the front desk and asked the hotel clerk if we could have a shower curtain as our shower didn't have a shower curtain in it. She said our room doesn't even have a rod to place a shower curtain on it, but she did offer us more shower towels to put down on the floor. Also, we were given the bottom floor room which we later noticed that the front door had a handicap symbol on it. We aren't handicap nor did I request a room for a handicap person. That's where our disappointment started. Later that night we could hear the people running around above us in their room and the next morning we could hear the staff talking in the next room (breakfast room) preparing the area for the early birds to eat breakfast. They woke my wife and I up around 5am in the morning. This proceeded on Sunday as well. We weren't too happy with the room choice the hotel manager gave us and we were disappointed with the noise level as the walls seem paper thin as we could hear the people next door and above us. The room rates were cheap and the location of the hotel was good. I guess you get what you pay for!

Good hotel as a home base for day trips.Posted Jul 19, 2015
Pros: Convenient location Friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast offerings could be improved. Lotion would be a nice addition to the shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom.
Location: Right off Bell Road in Surprise made it easy to get around. Only a few miles to the freeway. Not much within walking distance in the heat.
The hotel was certainly adequate as a clean place to sleep. The bed was a little firm for me, the pillows were a little too fat for me but the price was right. The free breakfast was quite skimpy, but again reflected in the price.
