Couples looking for a relaxing escape appreciate the tranquil atmosphere before the peak summer rush or after it subsides. The summer months of July and August are also popular, especially for those who wish to combine their visit with time at the nearby Ionian or Tyrrhenian coastlines. While temperatures can be quite warm, often reaching the high 80s or 90s Fahrenheit (30-35°C), this is when local festivals and events are most common.
