"Spark had very clean rooms. I'm picky I check everything mattress, fridge and bathroom all over. Excellent cleaning. I was very happy with breakfast. They have a nice salt water pool. My only complaint was that we only had an outlet on one side of our king size bed. Other than that quiet and clean. Front desk was super helpful with restaurants and attractions. They were amazing"

"Elevator was out of service. I felt so bad for all the Seniors that had to carry their luggage up three flights of stairs. Back Door was inaccessible with room card. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. One of the best that I've had. Parking after 8:00 pm was very challenging. Desk staff was very polite and courteous."

"Pros: The property was easy to get to with ample parting. We had a King room and the in-room amenities were nice; plenty of seating and a comfortable bed. The price was average for what we got. There is a good southern type restaurant across the street. Cons: We are senior citizens, 70years plus. Our room was on the second floor and there was no elevator; we had to lug our baggage up the stairs. Although the bed was comfortable, the pillows were a bit on the stiff side; good for some folk but I could not get used to them during our one night stay. The bathroom was clean but small. You had to walk in and turn out of the way to close the door. The shower tub was a little scary stepping out of it. It was somewhat a big drop from the tub to the floor. Grab bars are definitely needed. I am surprised that is not a requirement. The continental breakfast was just that, very 'continental'. We would stay there again if we could get a room on the first floor and the shower had grab bars. Even my wife was nervous stepping out of the tub. For young people, these cons would probable not be an issue."

"My only regret is that we were passing through for one night. Wish we could have stayed longer! Outstanding amenities, staffing, and look/feel, right down to the signature scent. Such a cool use of an old, industrial building. A very peaceful atmosphere. The coffee/tea for each floor was a great touch. We will be back!"

"The neighbor hood is very nice. We walked up and down the street and stopped for ice cream. Wish we would have got to eat at the Mexican right across the street. The house is awesome! Betty was great and even set up a cot for an extra bed. The house had everything we needed. We loved the history of the house and enjoyed staying in an older home that was perfectly maintained. The only suggestion is maybe bring a sleep mask because the street light is by the house. I would recommend this house for anyone traveling to Mt. Airy or nearby."
