“Everything the staff could control was wonderful. The elevator was not working, however. When told the front desk more than 2 flights would be a hardship for us, they immediately changed our room for us.”

“I was delighted to find the appearance of the hotel to look like a 1950's motel. It was so appropriate since we were going back in time to see Mt. Airy (Mayberry). However everything was clean and new looking. The continental breakfast was wonderful with buttermilk biscuits like Grandma use to make. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. It was a great trip and the hotel made a positive difference.”

“Breakfast was lacking. I put on a clean pair of socks after taking a shower at 5 pm. The next morning, the bottom of my socks were black.”

“An old building budget motel with maybe a few permanent residents and no fancy cars in the lot but worked well for this old biker. The room was recently painted and clean. No bugs, a hot shower with great pressure. Waffle house across the street, McD next door. A good view of the famous mountain.”
