I had avery good experience at this hotel. IT took a little while to get over the fact that the facilities were not in good shape and the staff is so overworked. When I first arrived, the receptionist told me wait for my valet he will park your car, then wait for my butler he will carry your bags, then he took my car keys, parked the car, came back and carried my bas on the stairs because the elevator is broken. At midnight I called on my cellphone because the room phone was broken and ordered room services and up he came with it. But then the fact that they were so friendly and the homy feeling of the place took over. There are a few things that I'm still not happy about, including the absolute lack of greenery in the garden which is in sink with the lack of maintenance. IT's all just pebbles and a few old bushes. They don't give you much in the bathrooms either. Also in my room the windows were really stuck with paint and impossible to open. But overall the experience was very pleasant because of the very friendly service and excellent food and chatting with the service personnel. Please bring maintenance and some restauration to this mansion.

1. Staff was extremely nice and let us park the car in the morning before the checkin
2. they called us at 2PM and let us check in earlier
3. I was staying there for the second time and every time staff was very nice
4. The suite is spacious, rooms are clean and pleasant.
5. I forgot my laptop's power supply in the room, so they called me, asked for the address and shipped it to me — extra point for that.
6. If i'm coming to Pittsburgh again, I definitely will try to stay here again.

Our suite was clean but well used. We were supposed to get a room with two beds but ours only had one and a pull out couch. When we talked to the staff, we were told that the suites only had one bed. And that we could use the pull out couch. This was frustrating because I had called ahead to confirm that we had 2 beds and we were told that we did. Also the suite was advertised as having a kitchenette and it did not.

Beautiful hotel in super convenient location. Walking distance from tons of cool sights and yummy food. Breakfast in the morning costs about $13 a person but the selection is huge and servers are very friendly (thanks Diane!) free shuttle is available to take you anywhere within 3 miles of the hotel, which we took advantage of! Loved the stay and would definitely recommend.

Room's are everything displayed. Spacious, very well designed and practical. Has most everything needed for multiple people to get ready, work, read and play. Nice setup for media. No microwave. For newly renovated rooms, Bathroom could be cleaner, stained grout already and bath mat Uck not clean on underside. Garbage cans, just use bags, they were not clean. Very good water pressure and bathtub actually designed to properly lean, lay back for a bath. Didn't take advantage of breakfast due to late arrival and breakfast ending at 9:00 am. There is an outdated Perkins in walking distance (don't let the decor deter you) All food was excellent & yes you can even have breakfast all day.

It costs $36 a night for valet parking......but there are buses within a block which will take you almost everywhere you want to go. Within 7 minutes walk is a bus which will take you to the airport for $ 3.50......a taxi will cost you $40.00.
The hotel is great....I wish they had told me at check-in about the free coffee and newspapers in the lounge each morning.
Complimentary wine and beer are there for the asking at happy hour in the lounge.
The restaurant "Commoner" is outstanding but be sure to make a reservation at check-in since it is very busy.
The beds are very comfortable. There is no business center so if you don't have a lap top be sure to check out the local library (not open on Sundays) to receive your email. It is just two short blocks away and the staff are delightful.
