About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Sun filled Hawthorne-Belmont Casa De Campo

This Hawthorne-Belmont tiny house is bigger than its footprint and close to everything you need to live in Portland. Stumptown coffee. The restaurants on Division and the bars on Belmont. Biketown bike share. Mt. Tabor and Laurelhurst Park. New Season's Grocery store and a new H-mart Asian Market. Powell's books and backyard chickens. This two-story tiny house has a full kitchen with a gas range, a washer-dryer combo, a truly comfortable bed, radiant heat for socked feet, 13 windows, 3 skylights and two red dutch doors.

Whether you're in town for business or to explore the city, this tiny house in one of Portland's finest locations with a straight shot to downtown and mere blocks from everything you could need or want is tucked away in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood where rest comes easy.

The house has a wrap around porch and a small patio ideal for morning coffee or an afternoon beer. For those rainy nights the metal porch roof will put you to sleep like a baby.

We have recently moved out of the main house and headed off on an adventure to Casablanca, Morocco. The family living in the main house has no connection to the tiny house, but they are super friendly so feel free to say hello in passing. They also have a friendly dog who you might see during your stay. The tiny house is being managed while were away by Wes's sister Gretchen. She is more than happy to answer questions, offer suggestions and help in any way to make sure your stay is perfect, but with a private key pad entry the tiny house is set up to offer guests as much privacy as they wish.

Beautiful and convenient neighborhood!
The place was lovely, clean, and private despite being right in someone’s backyard. Walkable to great restaurants and stores and a short/drive ride from everything else. Only complaint is that it is easy to flood the bathroom even when following hosts instruction. Shower drain is installed into bathroom floor and drains very slowly, but it was a minor inconvenience compared to the convenience, cleanliness, and safety of the location.

Interesting ineterior. Neighborhood homes are colorful.
The downside. Very small bed for two. Stairs are not the easiest to navigate. The upside: impressive interior: lights on the stairway are creative, contemporary. Great all in one washer / dryer. Reading material: major award-winning literary fiction by North American, Irish and British writers. This tells lots about the intelligence that went into the place. Tip: Don’t stay here if your reading pleasure has Hitler, spies, and poisoned fast food in the title. Free up the space for someone who loves a colorful neighborhood and good, simple restaurants nearby.

Location, location.
Close to everywhere we like to go in the SE. We also appreciated the cleanliness and lack of clutter. So many places are junk/kitsch filled and this small home was not. Will return!

Looking to move to the neighborhood. The tiny house was the perfect spot to check it all out. Very cute, comfy, full kitchen, cool loft, nice outdoor seating area, even a washer/dryer! Plenty of entertainment within walking distance. Recommended. Would stay again.

Great place but bring a fan if you are not used to not having central ac
It was the perfect fit for a few days but We had hoped to be able to use the kitchen but it was just too hot on the bottom level for us to sit and eat, cook, relax, or really do anything at all in that space so it was pretty cramped feeling to only use the upstairs. The property was great overall and very safe feeling. Would stay again but only in the fall or winter.

This place delivered on location. It was exactly as the photos show. The only two downsides: no microwave to warm coffee or leftovers and pillows could be breed quality. Otherwise, quaint and comfy.

Fight me for a reservation next time! 😉 I come back to Portland frequently. This will be my home away from hime if it is available. Lovely neighborhood. Great wifi. Love the decor. Many amenities. Owners were immediately available to communicate. It was close to all of my friends and favorote music venues. Convenient! Street parking only, but that was never an issue for me. THANK YOU.

Very "cool" space, especially downstairs where radiant floor did not seem to keep it warm. Upstairs was nice and warm. The craftsmanship was excellent.

Charming and modern home base
I love Portland. Always have. My brother used to live in this very area so it is comfortable and familiar. Surprisingly quiet for being within blocks of coffee shops, boutiques, and restaurants, it was wonderful coming home everyday to the Sunnyside. From the charming front gate entry, lush landscaping, my stay was comfortable and felt very safe for a single female. Air-con during the heat wave came in handy and having access to the washer/dryer was fantastic. I didn't actually know about the loft attic area until I found it and I happily did my daily stretches up there. I also spent some time in the cozy hammock on the side patio with a glass of wine. Very happy to have found this place for a much needed getaway. Very peaceful.

Lovely place to escape the heat and explore
This listing is in a prime location of Portland. You are a very short walk from bars, coffee shops, and amazing food. On top of that it has AC which made the 100F weather easier for us. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Nice space
This is an excellent clean and quiet space for a couple or single person. I used it for remote work while visiting Portland, and it has good internet with no worries of noise during conf calls. There are plenty of things to do and stores nearby. About the only thing missing is a couch or some other type of lounge seating, but it has all you should need and more.

nice set up and walkable
Casa de Campo worked great as home base for our trip to Portland! Nicely set up and super clean, the space had everything we needed for a weekend away. We loved the design of the space, clearly lots of thought went into it! From the little loft to all of the windows to make the space bright! We didn't do any cooking but saw the kitchen was fully outfitted. We appreciated that we were only a couple of blocks from great restaurants on Hawthorne but far enough away that we didn't get the noise. If we ever build an EDU behind our place, it would look like this!! Cheers!

The house was absolutely perfect. It is so cute and is perfect for a vacation! It’s not within walking distance of downtown, but certainly a straight shot via car. We loved all of the restaurants in the immediate area and rarely actually ventured downtown. Communication with the owner was always quick. We would recommend this house to anyone going to Portland!
