“Check in staff were so helpful and kind. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and swim up bar. No coolers were allowed in pool area. Had to purchase their alcohol. We enjoyed our stay. This was our second time staying and first time we were able to use the pool. The A/C unit was loud, woke me up every time it kicked on. I ended up just turning it off. They had security at the entrances to the facility during after hours. We felt very safe and comfortable. Not sure why they needed security but……

“More toilet paper in the room would be helpful. Soap next to the bathroom sink would also be nice. My wife reported wet sheets in her bed, so she moved into my bed (I'm not complaining). At 8:15 am, the fire alarm in our room went off. We were sleeping. It is an understatement to say that this was startling. The good news is there was no fire. I look at a trip to South Bass Island as an adventure, so all of this was part of the adventure.”

“I have stayed at a dozen properties around Put In Bay and I can say without a doubt, the Anchor Inn is the best place I have found. Close to downtown, reasonably priced for the quality and service, cleanliness of the room and property, quality of the breakfast and food offerings, thoughtful touches throughout the room and lobby. This place has spoiled us for staying anywhere else on the island. High end toiletries and bathroom amenities, Nespresso machine in every room, bathrobes, slippers,……
