“Amazing house , beautiful property . Walter , his wife and the rest of the staff ( Sonny and Fonzie ) were excellent hosts and very kind . One of the best places I've stayed at in the world! Wouldn't even consider any other spot next time I'm in Durango , CO.”

“Charged us for the hotel stay one day early, before we even arrived, and when we called about it, the front desk was rude and angry at us, even though no hotel we've EVER stayed at charges a day early, she acted like it was completely normal. WORST ROOM I'VE EVER STAYED IN. A shoebox, with no room to move, the bed took up all the space in the room. PAY TE EXTRA MONEY TO STAY ELSEWHERE. It's not worth it, trust me. We left a day early because it was unbearable.”

“Nice old vintage feeling hotel. With working neon sign ! The lobby has beer decorations and the owner was very nice. Room was clean and everything worked in there. Yeah there was some small stuff with drywall a Karen could complain about but it didn’t bother us. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.”

“Would definitely recommend this place for future stays .close to the Durango Silverton narrow gauge railway station - less than 5 minutes walk.. clean rooms , 24 hour coffee, nice breakfast Buffet, free evening happy hour with one non alcoholic or alcoholic drink per person , courteous staff . Clean well maintained facilities and room with balcony and overlooking the central pool. They even provided a list of recommended restaurants near by .. they were so helpful to all our questions and……

“We have stayed here twice. Highly recommend this property. Oksana who helped us check in both of our stays made the experience perfect. She is super friendly, makes you feel at home and is very helpful with recommendations for dinner as well as making us a reservation. Parking is easy and close. The checkout lady was also pleasant and helpful making us fresh coffee early in the morning to get us on the road.”

“Front desk is not friendly! Elevator was out of order, and we have two heavy luggage to move upstairs without any help...”

“Good for a basic convenient stay. First night kept up most of the night by drunk neighbors. Contacted front desk for help. Seemed annoyed that I called for help. Not sure what action was taken but did not result in improvement of the neighbors behavior. Also their smoking triggered my asthma symptoms. Spoke with front office in the morning. They were able to secure a refund for the first night. Second night was fine without incident.”

“The property is immaculately maintained, with an excellent staff and wonderful hosts (Jim and Leslie). Easy drive to Durango, hot springs, Purgatory ski slopes, etc make this one of my favorite B-N-Bs. The morning breakfast is just cherries on top!”
