“There were several things to like about this hotel. It is located in Mountain Village, which is a thousand feet above the town of Telluride; tucked in an alpine glen with several other hotels, restaurants, and upscale shopping. Access to the town of Telluride is best done using the free tram which departs from a couple of points within Mountain Village, stops at the top of the hill where you can get off and hike or just take in the scenery, and then descends to the town of Telluride itself. ……

“Very nice older property right near Gondola. No ac in rooms and windows shut so quite warm when we checked in. The hot tubs and pool were very nice. We had some plumbing issues. Probably a bit overpriced compared to some other properties nearby. We were attending the bluegrass festival and that was fantastic!”

“I was extremely surprised after all the great reviews online this property was such a bad experience. Full disclosure I left the front office a list of issue and never got a phone call back from the manager. There was no air condition. The room was a steam room. We called the property number we were told to grab a fan and put it in the open window to get air from outside. The WIFI did not work at all. The shower curtain rod was rusted and ready to fall out. There were mosquitos and other flying……

“They did have mini refrigerator and fans in room. Beds were great, and had washer and dryer to use also. Hot tubs and grills were great.”

“If you want to stay in a hotel with atmosphere and attractive old style ambience than this is your place. I especially liked the kitchen where you could fix your continental breakfast and eat at a round oak table and talk to the other guests. It is in the middle of everything so you can park your car and walk everywhere in Ouray. Fun stay even though the wildfires spread smoke in Ouray the air was breathable outside the hotel and inside. Don’t let a little smoke keep you away.”

“Staff was super friendly. Loved the free coffee and tea in the morning, Parking in and around the area was fine. The only downfall was the temp in the room. They have a swamp cooler, which is probably pretty normal for Silverton’s accommodations. I’m sure not very many buildings are air-conditioned in this town but was a little warm at night. It did cool off but took a smidge of time. Delightful place.”
