Property left me with no shower curtain for two days, property lost power for hours and was the only property to lose power, elevators broke every day, pool closed early every day or didn’t open on time due to life guard not showing up, staff took forever to bring room needs up. Hotel was still working out the kinks from transitioning from Hard Rock to Golden Nugget. Some of the elevators didn’t work, resulting in long lines and our water in our room was brown. Staff was great about issuing credits due to the complications.

2 of 3 elevators barely worked the other didn't. Our room was clean but the facility wasn't. Hallways were comedically dirty. The final kicker was no hot water on the day we were leaving. The poor kid at the front desk was just like "oh well". You dont have enought money or credit for me to EVER stay at a golden nugget.

Horrible experience!! The elevators were broken and out of order signs were not used causing people to get stuck in the elevator and/or waiting forever for an elevator that never came! The only option was the stairs which you could only exit on the first floor through a fire alarm door! In the lobby there were dead cockroaches that were never cleaned up! The staff was incredibly rude when asked simple questions like pool hours which by the way are also ridiculous! 11a-7p, it seems this was an attempt to save money by only having to pay 1 lifeguard per day, however, even staying open to 9p would’ve made a big difference for our kiddos! We paid $700 for 3/nights in a roach filled dump! We’re pretty happy campers most of the time, in fact this is the first review we’ve ever left because our experience was that bad! I grew up in South Lake Tahoe and have always enjoyed my stay when it was Horizon and Hard Rock but the Golden Nugget was horrific! Do NOT stay here!

Air conditioning was not working in my suite, I called 4 times and couldn’t get anyone to come up to the suite to fix the problem, I finally became tired of calling and at 11:00pm came down to the front desk to talk about the issue, only to find out that there are no front desk personnel after 11:00 pm. I finally received some assistance, but the young man that tried to help, was not train in the HVac system. My room was at 82 degrees, I did however was allowed to have a small fan to help out. This experience was awful.

This hotel has definitely seen better days. Everything in the room is outdated and rundown. The tub was stained and the walls had nails showing. The power went out in the hotel yet the casino had no problem. I would not recomendable this hotel to anyone. Pay a bit more and stay somewhere else.

Horrible experience, no front staff was available. The elevators not working took too long had to take the stairs up and down from 6th floor. No hot water in the shower and requested a new room or have it fixed but no one ever responded to my concern. Beds definitely need to be upgrade.
