Front desk human was rude and then told us the wrong place to park. The room was not the updated rooms advertised but run down with stained carpet throughout and one large gap the entirety of the ceiling where one would hope the wall connects. Orange and black staining throughout the bathroom. In the morning there was a chandelier of light coming through the curtains they had been so moth eaten. The only patrons downtairs were a small bunch of what looked like locals around a poker table and several smoking cigarettes at machines and throwing butts all over the carpet. The worst was the foul sickening perfumed puke smell throughout. I don't mean the old ashtray perfume smell of Vegas, this was in it's own category of wretchedness. Pros: the bed was super comfortable and the atrium was a lovely touch, though with nothing to do there it felt like an under utilized part of the casino. Booked because reviews said this was better than the surrounding, so maybe just avoid West Wendover if that is the case.

We overnighted here on our way back from Colorado to California. The room was in really poor condition and the AC was barely working. The beds were ok. There were also only two towels when we booked as a party of three which is really annoying. The place was probably nice thirty years ago but is badly in need of a refurbishment.

Elevators were broken. Bathrooms were really old, no hot water. Rented a pool room, pool was locked. Paying over $200 a night for this junky room, no fridge, microwave or coffee maker is outrageous! I say it should be more like $89 a night for this place.

I like that hotel was taken good care of. The staff was really helpful and friendly. The beds were super comfortable and the pillows as well. I only wish that the room had a coffee maker. But everything from the pool to the rooms amazing.

Very disappointed, we were not told the pool was closed. Room was very run down, old furniture and lacking any charm. Talked to the front desk to ask why the pool was padlocked, the staff was dismissive, did not address our concerns. I was able to book at Montego for the second night and for only $50.00 mor per night it was a world of difference. I hope Maverick will invest love and care, and training into Nugget to bring it back to the fun place we remember from years ago.

Our stay was not good. The front desk girl when we checked in was not very helpful or friendly. The room was awful. Did not look clean & there was just the bare minimum in there. It looked worn. The bed didn’t look made up. Was just a sheet covering the bed & was uncomfortable. The sink faucet you had to slam the handle down hard to turn it off. The shower had only lukewarm water. Overall the condition of the room was terrible. Then the girl at the front desk when we checked out was eating & had a drink on the desk. Not very professional. We will not be coming back.

Every where you walk it smells like cigarette smoke our room smelt like cigarettes and the air conditioning was so so loud and no cool airflow. We couldn’t sleep so we left at 9:30 pm. We were told we would be charged for resort fees etc. around $123.00 this hasn’t shown on my bank account. Also, when we first arrived, the customer service agent swiped my card through the machine three times and said that it was declined so I gave her another card. She did that three times as well and said it was declined and the amount was $279.00 each time. Myself and husband went back down to the desk to mention this to them and they said it would be taken off, but we still haven’t seen it removed from both our bank accounts and we were never charged the resort fee. The customer service agent was courteous and helpful explaining the issue. We were disappointed with our visit
