"We had a great stay at the Balsam Inn! Everyone put their hearts into giving folks a great experience. My husband says the dinner was the finest he ever had, and I appreciated all the little things that made our travel easier (ice for coolers, a shared frig, absolutely lovely and plentiful bedding). "Checkin was pleasant and room was on 1st floor right next to parking, so easy unload and load. There is a family feel to the inner courtyard/parking, as some residents make use of their porch while children pet visiting dogs. This hotel was our choice rather than paying a fortune to stay in Cooperstown. A nearby Walmart and eateries were a plus in this small community. Beds were very comfortable, water pressure great. Lots of table top options in the room were a huge bonus. Makeup area was a little dated, but clean. Refrigerator worked great."

"We greatly enjoyed our stay at the lake house. This was our second time back. Check in process was easy. In communication it was good. The house is definitely quirky, but very charming. We loved having water access as well as kayaks available to use. The kitchen was well supplied. And the linens were nice and clean. The house definitely is showing some age andware, but definitely charming. Our only complaint was the lack of curtains and the fact that it seemed the floors had not been cleaned in quite some time."
