Upon first glance online, it appeared to be a nice property, but there were multiple problems with our stay. I brought my 2 children to stay here. My brothers family also stayed here. We checked in around 9pm and there was not a single cart to be given to us to bring our bags up to our room. They did little to rectify this. They attempted to look for carts but never found any and did not help us bring anything to our rooms. It was really sad. The hotel had a terrible smell of weed throughout the property. I dealt with that, but could not deal with the bathroom situation. Our room had a malfunctioning toilet. I called a total of 11 times for repairs during our 8-day stay. It was truly something no traveller should have to deal with on their vacation. The maintenance staff would attempt to repair the toilet, and it would break again within an hour. They refused to move me to a different room. I requested a call back 3 times from the manager to discuss our distress with this room. I never received a call back!! I would expect so much more from a Westgate property. This was unacceptable. They simply do not care. The pool was small and overcrowded. The drinks were nearly $20 at the pool bar and took FOREVER for the bartenders to make. Terrible service - and there were only about 4-5 people around the bar so it wasn’t even busy. The walls are very thin with adjoining rooms, so my children were kept up at night by kids partying till all hours. We will never stay here again.
