Conveniently located next to Higashi Shinjuku station. The staff is polite and can speak English. However, the building and rooms are a bit run down and not very clean. At least there were no bugs... Also, keep in mind that this area can get pretty noisy at night since it’s located in Kabukicho.
Staff was very nice and helpful:) They don’t have A/C during the winter, so we just turned off the heater when we felt too warm in the room. For the most part our stay there was very convenient and good. Would stay there again.😊
Great location next to a major subway station. Room was small but that's tokyo. Very clean and tidy and staff were helpful. Lots of good information in the lobby. Good cafe and restaurants on ground floor
The hotel was in a great location, very well located next to the metro station. Lots of convenience stores around. The staff were friendly and the room was well equipped.
The one issue was being charged 3000 yen for losing a room key. Never in any hotel I have ever stayed in have I been charged for losing a room key (not that it happens often) and I cannot believe that it costs the hotel any more than 10 yen to replace one of those bits of plastic. But 3000 yen was absolutely ridiculous and a complete rip off, and left me with a sour taste and bad experience of the hotel.
The price is more reasonable than the hotels in Sinjuku. The hotel is right beside the entrance of the transit station, which can help shorten the commuting time. It is one or two stops to Sinjuku or other major train stations. Relative to Sinjuku, Higashi Sinjuku is less noisy and safer for tourists. There a few convenience stores nearby, and washer and dryer are available in the hotel, which make me less needs to bring more clothes with me.
Walkable distance to Isetan Shinjuku. Right beside is the Higashi Shinjuku Sta. Oedo Line Sunway. Lawson/7-11/Family Mart are just next door. Washing machine and dryer provided, dryer may need much longer time. The only thing is that the room is rather super small, but it’s reflect from the price. So, it’s not a problem at all. Fast check in and check out. Super saver.
The plus side to this hotel is being close to fhe Higashi-Shinjuku station. Otherwise, it is the dirtiest and shabbiest looking 3- star hotel I've stayed in Japan. Everywhere on the property has gross looking stains, in the elevator, restroom doors, couch in the reception/lobby looks completely gross.
