“Old but Clean ”

“Party of 1 fisherman. I stayed 10 days in Nov 2025. Friendly helpful staff. Decent room especially considering the low cost. Not a 5 star hotel by but that was a given... Most (all?) the rooms are at ground level. I prefer that. Decent heat/air conditioning. Decent shower. Decent tv. Good ice machine. I filled my cooler several times. I have booked 2 weeks for my Nov 2026 trip. Cost was a big factor. ”

“The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and the grab and go breakfast was enough. Even though it is an older motel, it is very clean and secure. Plenty of dining options within walking distance. We were able to get a later checkout time, which was helpful. Highly recommend!”

“The staff was AMAZING, went above and beyond everyday. They greeted us every morning and evening and were so helpful with recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed. The hotel itself is immaculate and I really love the updated modern look with the old historical building. Also probably the comfiest mattresses I have ever slept on in a hotel. 10/10 recommend and will be staying here again in the future! ”

I especially was appreciative of the layout of the bathroom which easily facilitated the use of the toilet as I have bad knees. I will definitely be staying here for any future trips to Montrose. ”
