"Our room was fine - clean and everything was there that we needed. Not sure why the heat was running in the building so high - we had to sleep w window open (AC units are too noisy). The back door of the property was open all the time, no card needed bc it was wide open. The poor lady working the breakfast did all she could to be helpful, but there was hardly room to sit, and the food area was so small. People were waiting quite a while for a seat, and to be able to access the food and drinks....

"Room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Nice location for walking around downtown Montrose (which is very cute). We were initially placed in a queen room when we reserved a king; fortunately we were able to switch into a king. Coffee bar downstairs was convenient and made good drinks. There is no elevator and the stairs are very steep. It’s only one flight which wasn’t a problem for us but could be for others. Bedside wall lights are awkwardly placed so they need to be moved to avoid hitting your head and moved back for reading. Transportation from the airport to the hotel was difficult (uber and Lyft not reliable there, no taxis at airport) so plan to make arrangements in advance."

"The hotel was clean, but it does need renovated. Everything worked, however, and the staff was fantastic. Breakfast was basic but good. The location was great. The beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious. The room had a huge TV, which was much larger than most hotel rooms, so that was nice. I would stay there again. The price was $125 a night. I think it probably should have been about $90, considering the need for an update. Overall, it was good and I think other hotels in Montrose were much more expensive."

"This camper was super clean and cute. Just the right touches everywhere to make it feel comfortable and special, even though it’s a deliberately simple place. We have stayed at rentals that cost thousands and they have not been as organized, WELL STOCKED, and quality experience as this. We truly felt like welcome guests. Having coffee by the fire as the sun rose over the mountain and field this morning was the perfect start to our day in the national park."
