One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at! I'm a night owl so often out of the room a bit later in the day, and many hotels, it's tough to get service after a certain point. They didn't miss a day, and the cookies at night were a lovely (and delicious) touch. Staff was always super helpful, on-premises restaurant and bar was lovely, and the room was nice, spacious, and clean. Would definitely put this high on my list to stay again! Thanks!
Such a vibe. Swanky but friendly with a lot to do right at the hotel. Outdoor patio for breakfast was perfect - staff was professional and welcoming. We will definitely stay again.
The rooms were very comfy and artistically decorated. The front desk very helpful and friendly. To note only that the hotel has no parking area in front of the lobby and the unloading/loading process can be a little hectic with busy traffic around. Car parking is in a public car park around a block away.
This is a great boutique hotel however the downside is that there is no parking , no gym or amenities for the price tag. The rooms are nice, the bed is comfy , the bathroom are excellent.
Our room was small, but absolutely adorable! Loved the decor and the freebies at the bar. The bathroom was pretty spacious considering the room size. We loved the Drake would absolutely come back.
The staff were lovely and the hotel has a cool unique vibe.
But I was in the heritage wing and there is an outdoor patio right outside. The walls/windows are not soundproof at all, so it was extremely loud at night when there was conversations and music playing until quite late.
Not something the hotel can control but something to be aware of if you end up in that wing.
Funky little boutique hotel with well-appointed rooms and tons of flavour. All the practical amenities you need among art installations and moody decor. Parking is the only tricky bit, but there is a large parking garage very close by on the nearest side street. We would definitely stay at the Drake again.
The hotel was nice, the staff were fine. The room was clean but tiny. Not the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve slept in. The bathroom setup was awful. No privacy from whomever you share this room with. I wouldn’t go back.
My favourite hotel in Toronto and if you want more of a local hipster vibe this is a great choice. It is not a typical hotel and the rooms on the older side of the hotel are better suited to a single traveller as the rooms are small. It can be a little loud on weekends from people being out and enjoying nightlife around the hotel but that’s part of the fun in my mind. Lots of great restaurants around and their own cafe is great (albeit note business travellers, open a little later in the morning). If you want to know the real Toronto this is a great choice.
This is a really cool boutique hotel in a nice part of Toronto. It has a great character and sense of style. We stayed in a room in the more modern half of the hotel, which was suggested by the guy on reception when we checked in because it would be quieter and more spacious. The hotel has a couple of great eating spaces, includng a really nice relaxed cafe on the side with an outdoor space. It's located within 10 mins of a couple of great streets full of boutiques and excellent restaurants. Only 20 mins from the city centre by tram, or a 45 min walk if you prefer. Parked in a lot 10 mins away as the hotel suggested parking is quite small and was full. Although it wasn't the cheapest option, we really enjoyed our short stay here and it felt much more of an authentc Toronto experience than some of the corporate chain hotels in the city centre.
Excellent time - the only thing was the parking but it was an amazing overall experience. The restaurant was awesome, they were well prepared for travelling with my dog. The staff were very nice & it's such a cute hotel. The walk in the neighbourhood is lovely also.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The staff at the drake were very helpful at all hours of the day. Received a complimentary upgrade in the classic wing that was spacious. The lobby was a great place to work remotely, with a conference room that had tables with built in charger. Only feedback to provide was noticeable water damage on the ceilings inside the room, and the cafe music was quite loud from our room.
