There was no one around when we arrived and had to run around the property's bar next door to find someone to check us in. The girl was very nice and helpful when she arrived. The rooms are small and the rugs are not in good shape. The beds were clean and comfortable and the washroom was recently renovated. I have been going to the Madison for over 20 years and I have noticed in the last few years it is getting a bit run down. But, it is a good price and a convenient area with TTC transport right next door. The next morning there was no one there again to check out so we had to leave the keys. They called later in the day to say they had made an error in our final bill and needed to put through more on our card. All in all it was an OK experience.

I love the way they preserved the feel of the mansion it once was. Also, despite the fact that my room was on the ground floor facing the pub it was quiet and so I could get a good night's sleep.

Property is tired with most of it not even open. Bar area had lovely staff but was without air conditioning so extremely unpleasant to sit in. All staff were very nice to deal with though

Nice early 1900's style building, well decorated, close to transit. Quiet for a good sleep. On the down side, paid parking only (nearby) and lots of stairs with no elevator. We enjoyed it!

Our room was next to their pub our balcony was about 15feet from their open pub terrace the the pub opens from 9-2 am with a line to go in music loud noice loud courtains did not block the light from their spot lights . We asked for late check they gave us one hour extra . And when we went for coffee and came back they locked us out of our room . The reception clerk said she could not activate the card again so we had to wait for a housekeeper to come . They even have writing on the walls marking they were there . Dingy carpets and old beds . Location is good but not worth it .

The room was fine, spacious and clean. AC was comfortable. Glad there was a safe in the room. Room was surprisingly quiet considering the pub next door. The refrigerator in the room did not work nor the overhead light.
