Great location and an amazing room perfectly situated on the beach and close to music events, restaurants, and bars. As with many boutique hotels, there isn’t a 24/7 front desk or concierge (hours are 10am–6pm). That said, the food and views were beautiful.

The location was amazing. We got the sea facing room which we really loved for the view and sound of waves. All of the staff members were great , polite, professional. The property was very safe and private. The deep cleaning was great, especially the helping lady, Reselida, was amazing. Thank you for hosting, i hope to visit again :)

Pros - Beautiful property with rooms that look like treehouses, right on beautiful sandy beach with private area with sun loungers. Rooms were clean and spacious, good WiFi and free offsite parking. Execellent property in terms of looks. Cons - While the looks were great, we were not satisfied with the stay. Although the staff was lovely, there was a severe shortage of them, all around the property. Not sure if it was because staff was on Christmas holidays or it is usually like that. Reception - There was only 1 person at a time, to do check-ins, property tours, resolve existing guest problems, etc. which means there was always a long wait. Also, they were only available from 8am to 6pm (or 8pm). Cleaning - Somedays cleaning didn't happen until 5pm despite asking for it at 11am and multiple reminders. Reason given - shortage of staff and priority given to checked out rooms. Rooftop - The property has a beautiful rooftop with a hot tub and swimming pool. But again, UNSTAFFED at all times! We didn't know how to switch on the hot tub until another tourist helped us. They could easily put a staff there to sell drinks and food there and to help people but no! Restaurants - There are two restaurants on site. While we liked the drinks and food at Olivia (reception area), most days it opened later than the advertised 8am. Tea/Coffee - No tea/coffee making facilites either in the room or any common area! NO STAFF OR EVEN SECURITY after 10 pm. You are on your own

Our room was great, but some amenities could be improved upon like having a coffee maker, clothing iron, and blow dryer inside the room. The staff was great, however having more personnel on site would make the manager’s job a lot more simpler. The hotel restaurant was also overpriced for the quality of food received.

Overall I was very disappointed with my stay here. The coffee service that was advertised didn’t show up unless you complained. The facilities on the beach and rooftop were unkept and messy. Most chairs were ripped and falling apart and the rooftop was upside down. There were broken string lights lying around and the pools were filled with debris. I booked with the understanding that breakfast was included but was told that it was a separate option you had to pay extra for which was not advertised. Both the restaurants were very overpriced.

Hotelito Azul was such a beautiful, zen experience — very natural, earthy, and tranquil. The food is organic and incredibly fresh, and the entire property has this unique, elevated “treehouse” feel with nature views everywhere you turn. You honestly barely need shoes; there are foot baths outside every suite, which feels so intentional and relaxing. The location is perfect — close to all the great beach clubs and local attractions, and only about a 15–20 minute walk to Ven a la Luz. The blacked tacos at Olivia? Phenomenal. So fresh. Truly, all the food on-site is fantastic and aligned with the whole organic vibe. Customer service was extremely friendly, pleasant, and multilingual — there were absolutely no English language barriers, which made the stay even smoother and more enjoyable. The only recommendations I’d offer: check-in communication could be improved. I didn’t receive my check-in details until after I arrived, and you need a QR code to scan when entering the property. Without that code, you can’t get in, so someone should be monitoring the entrance at all times. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes, but it looks like they were installing a Ring system during my stay, so this will likely be resolved soon. Outside of that, the experience was amazing. The grounds are clean, safe, and truly one of the best beachfront stays in the area. And the rooftop? Spectacular. The sunsets from up there are breathtaking…we sat there every evening just to take it all in.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Azulito. The property is perfectly located right on a beautiful beach, which made our time there even more enjoyable. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our stay. First, we want to mention Samantha, the manager. She was amazing — she made reservations for us, gave us great recommendations, and made sure everything about our stay went smoothly. A special thank-you also goes to Griselda from housekeeping. She kept our room spotless and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. She, along with the rest of the team, went above and beyond to accommodate all of our requests. We also want to recognize Gregorio, our butler, who was fantastic and always ready to help with anything we needed. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained. The food at the hotel restaurant was also excellent. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily return.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. Our room was fantastic. Spacious, clean, elegantly furnished and with a large terrace and fantastic views. But unfortunately, that is where the good things end. The host was quite pre-occupied. The “on-site” parking was certainly only about 500 feet away from the hotel but required crossing a road with heavy traffic. At night, when the road gets pitch-black, the short walk felt dangerous with the risk of being run over. The gate to the parking lot was always locked. Returning to the hotel at night, it took us 10-20 minutes to find someone at the hotel to open the gate for us every single time. The gym, advertised as “world class”, was decent but got extremely hot as it lacked AC . You also need to give the hotel a notice at least one hour in advance to use the gym. The hotel restaurant, bars and coffee shop are over-priced. I ordered a latte at the restaurant. By the time it came, it was cold. At 8 USD price tag, I felt ripped off. The staff was amazing, flavio was extremely helpful with all things needed for our room, as well as Griselda always keeping our room beautiful and clean not to mention the absolutely beautiful swan towel designs that she left us, her sense of humour was contagious, Cayetano was so sweet and attentive always checking up on us at the beach and giving us great dinner recommendations, he was such a nice person and we look forward to seeing everyone again!
