“Clean and well maintained property with a comfortable room. The little mini golf course in the front of the hotel is a nice feature for families with young kids. Breakfast offerings average and the breakfast room is a bit cramped on a morning with lots of fellow travelers in town. Location is good with lots within walking distance, a laundromat just across the highway, etc.”

“We have stayed at Cove Point Lodge many times over the past 10 years. Usually we stay in one of the cabins but the prices have increased so much and coming from Canada it's an additional expense. This time we stayed in a room at the lodge, while the room was very spacious, with a sofa and a balcony, it seemed a bit run down. The screen on the patio door was taped up and falling off. The bathroom mirror was filthy and streaked, the paint was chipping off the wall in places. The sink was……

“You need a code to enter this property and access your room. We booked through Expedia which stated that we would receive our code via email within 24 hrs of check-in. However, I checked my email several times with that time period and never received a code. Upon arrival at the property shortly after 4:00, a sign on the door also stated our code would be sent via email. We never received anything. Other guests arriving at the same time also had not received a code. Upon messaging the company……

“We enjoyed a quick getaway at the GG Barnum Mansion. The property was beautiful and quiet, and our room was quite comfortable. The neighborhood was lovely, and we enjoyed a muffin and coffee on our way out. We would have enjoyed using the sauna if we had had a bit more time. ”

“The mansion itself is beautiful and well maintained. I think they did about as well as possible, but it's not possible to update an early 1900s house to all the modern amenities. The internet was spotty and the layout awkward. One thing that really needed work was the bed. It advertises "premium bed" and it was definitely not premium. Whenever we got onto the bed or moved on one side, it sounded like the bed was going to break. This could easily be fixed, so hopefully they do that soon. We did……
