“I was midway through booking when I realized it was not dog friendly.
Somehow booking was completed and I was unable to cancel it.
They refused to refund it, so we’re out the $150.
I understand it was last minute and they need the money but very disappointed when the island is supposedly very dog friendly, but not this hotel.”

“The location of Bird Rock is very convenient. Our room (2) was entered through their lower level and seems to back up to the grocery stores loading dock. Starting at 5 o’clock in the morning, there was constant loud truck noise, backing up, ramps being lowered and raised, and boxes being moved around making it impossible to sleep after 5 o’clock in the morning. We’ve stayed at this hotel before and chose it again because of the location, but the specific room is really important to consider!”

“The highlight of our stay was meeting the proprietor Farhad, who is an accomplished pianist (plays the grand piano and a harpsichord for guests most nights) and a superb chef. Breakfast was excellent. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished and the location is great, walking distance to the center of Friday Harbor. Loved our stay.”

We paid nearly $400 per night after fees for a two-night stay and were very disappointed.
The biggest issue was that the listing described the room as having an ensuite bathroom, but we were only informed the day of our arrival that the bathroom was actually located in the hallway, not an ensuite.
