“The bathroom was dirty, clearly had not been cleaned properly in some time, there was hair all over the floor, dirt build up around the shower tray and shower itself. Windows were also very dirty. The breakfast bag is not worth it as it’s not ready to go you have to wait 10mins for the hot part!”

“I was able to check in online before I arrived at The Kicking Dickey. The staff were very helpful and friendly along with the pub which I thought was very welcoming. My room was at the rear of the property so away from any noise. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, I think it might of been a converted stable. Nice functional bathroom with a shower and a very comfortable single bed. Lots of free parking outside the property. All in all well worth a stay.”

“Unusual place to stay but very pleasant. With the high weather temperatures we have just had it was a tad warm dispite a large fan. Slept with doors open. Minor improvement could be made but that said our stay was very good. We would return. Thank you.”

“Perfect place to stay overnight before a flight from Stansted. Lots of choice for your help yourself breakfast. Wasn’t made aware that you could leave your car there and take a taxi to the airport. Would have definitely saved some money. Maybe this could be highlighted more.”

“Good and Bad….The GOOD WAS staff were very nice and the location for us perfect,the breakfast excellent. The BAD… The BAD it’s the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in a hotel anywhere. We could barely fit in and we are not big people. There was nowhere to hang a towel shelf or ledge in the shower to put any soap or shampoo on. Nowhere to put our case on to unpack and most of all no aircon on what were the hottest few days of the year. There was a Fan which helped a little. But the size of the room……
