"This cottage is absolutely precious! From the morning and evening deer sightings in the yard to the cleanliness and comfort of the interior, beds, and lounging/ den area it was nearly perfect. Hostess Carri has thought of everything to make this a delightful stay for anyone wanting to visit the area and to attend New River Gorge. AND it is pet-friendly! The trailhead to our chosen hiking trail was nearly within walking distance! Should we ever revisit the area we will most definitely return to...

"I have to say, this was one of the most well-stocked, and cleanest VRBOs we’ve been in. It is an older home, but I don’t think there was one speck of dirt to be seen anywhere! And there was soap, extra tp, bikes, hammocks, more than enough towels, plenty of everything for anything you might need in a pinch! The hosts were very responsive, helpful, and it was so nice to have the hot tub to relax in after a full day of hiking and exploring. If we were to return to new river gorge, we would stay...

Adventures on the Gorge

10/10 Excellent

"Close to hiking and bridge. Park well maintained"

Quality Inn New River

10/10 Excellent

"Property was very nice. Very close to the new river gorge bridge & lots of great hiking trails. Breakfast was very nice and we ate dinner one night at the restaurant there and it was good. Lots of locals there. The room was clean and the bed was very comfy. Staff were great to talk with about the area. We would stay there again"

Private Cabin in the woods,/ Near Summersville lake and Gauley river

10/10 Excellent

"This cabin was magical! Sitting on top of its own little spot with spectacular views! The road to it was beautiful especially since we came in fall and the leaves were all in their vivid colors. The hot tub was perfect after sitting around the fire pit and a great way to end the day. We had all we needed and more available in the cabin and the host even reached out to see if we needed anything else! Highly recommended and hope to be back here in the spring!"

Hampton Inn Summersville

8/10 Good

"This was the second Hampton Inn I stayed in during my recent trip. Both places, including this one and the one in Hendersonville NC had dogs that were barking near my room. For this hotel I told the staff and they paid a visit or called since the barking stopped. I don't agree with the pet friendly policy, I'm allergic to dogs and cats and the last thing I want to hear is barking while on vacation. Otherwise it was a very nice stay but not sure I will stay at any more Hamptons."

The Peaceful Pine Cabin

10/10 Excellent

"Had a great stay at the Peaceful Pine cabin. The location is the greatest benefit, being 1 mile from Hawk's Nest State Park, 10 min from the bridge and Fayetteville and located in the tiny peaceful outskirts of Anstad, I arrived at midnight and it was a little hard to see the buildings and there was no mailbox or signage. But the owner took my taxt at midight and clarified to me how to proceed. I really appreciated that and safely got in and set up for my stay. The house was clean and all of the utilities and fixtures worked great. Great shower and liked the shampoo and conditioner extras. I had hoped for a toaster and yes, there is one that I used every day. There is a great outside porch and giant yard I chilled out in and made a fire and cooked a burger one night. I will be back and this is where I'll stay. Thanks, Dan"
