About this property

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Private room with outdoor entrance and private bathroom.

Private room with a private, electronic, outdoor entrance and private bathroom. It works like a hotel room w/ private self/check-in. There is plenty of room to park a boat, trailer etc…. The bathroom has recently been remodeled and has a new shower in place of the garden tub. The bedroom has a portable, powerful a/c with a remote control that allows you to control the room temperature. There is also a heater, an electric fireplace, television, ceiling fan, microwave, coffee pot, and a mini-fridge. The back porch is also private and shaded.
We are located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The bedroom and bathroom stay locked off from rest of the house. We provide clean linens, towels, soap and coffee filters. We do not provide food or drink. We are a half mile from the bay with great fishing /dock/landing/park, 3 miles from the Apalachicola River/downtown, and 15 minutes from beautiful St. George Island to our east. 15-20 minutes to our west are the beaches of PSJ, Indian Pass and Cape San Blas. Mecico Beach is just west of PSJ. Enjoy historic Apalachicola!

Nice stay and served the purpose well.
The host is very straight forward with the listing. If you are seeking the Hilton, this isn't it, nor does the owner claim it is. If you want a nice room not too far from town or the beaches, then this works great. Very clean and has the necessities. If you are staying in the area, you are probably going to be out and about and on beaches all day. This makes a nice place to come back to and crash. Yes, you may here the residents in the house at times, but no more so than you would at a hotel. Yes, you might even hear the very pretty labrador retriever bark. For me, that was comforting. We had a built in watch dog on the property. No, you won't have contact with him, but it was nice knowing he was always on watch. So, if you want a nice place to land after a day on the beach, this works great. Has a secluded deck on the back for you to simply talk about the adventures of the day as well. I'll certainly be back. Thanks for the hospitality!

7-day Stay
We were gone all day every day from early morning until sun down. Perfect place to lay your head at night and get cleaned up. Bathrooms are a big deal wherever we stay and this place has a clean, comfortable one. Although this unit is attached to a house, we had plenty of privacy. The host responded to communications immediately. We'll stay again.

We enjoyed our weekend getaway in Apalachicola. The owner was easy to communicate with and responded in a timely manner. Great location, if you are traveling with a boat there is plenty of parking for your trailer. Conveniently located to the boat ramp and downtown restaurants and shops.

Everything was as stated. Place was very clean. Location was ideal for someone wanting to explore Apalachicola as well as Indian pass and Cape San Blas. I knew the owner was only a message or call away but we didn’t need him. I would definitely stay again!

For the price, this rental was awesome. We had a few minor maintenance issues, but the host resolved them very quickly. We mainly used it as a place to sleep and spent the days hanging out on the beach at St. George State Park. The new shower has great pressure and plenty of hot water

Great stay on the outskirts of Apalachicola
The owners were very easily reached and commuted quickly. The unit itself is very clean, up-to-date, and very, very comfortable. The very large bathroom has been completely remodeled and has a wonderful walk-in shower. The bedroom and amenities are all in great shape. We would stay again! Our only concern were the multiple neighbors dogs most kept in kennels. We are very dog friendly people (have one ourselves), but it made us uncomfortable since two of their free roaming dogs that kept approaching us, one of which is a very large Pitbull.

We were disappointed about the room. No shower just a jacuzzi but it did not work, not clean in the room . Spider webs and only a small table in the bathroom. The room had a moldy smell when you walk in. When we were there the porch fell in.

Great Stay in Apalachicola
Our first vacation in the Apalachicola area was great! The room was great, though we didn't stay at the room for anymore time than what we needed to sleep and get ready for the day. Zero issues communicating with the owner and the room was just as listed. A couple small issues were made known so that the owner will hopefully make the accommodations even better for the next visitors. These included a couple small spots that should have been cleaned better and the partially uncovered carpet gripper in front of the closet that was painful to accidentally step on. Also, not to deter those capable, but for those that have issues stepping up and over obstacles a couple feet high by a couple feet wide, this is the only way to get into the large bath tub. Just making note of this so that anyone staying here in the future knows what to be ready for. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Its A Decent Stay
The Host was great. We had one issue with the Dish TV. He handled quickly. Otherwise it was very sufficient for our stay. It was clean and everything was as promised. For the price it was very good. I would give this a 5 star rating, but the one thing that holds me back is the shower. There is a jacuzzi tub, which is quite nice even though we never used the jacuzzi feature, but therebis no real shower. There is an attachment for a shower head, but the water must be left on very low for it to stay in place, so low that you are better off just taking a bath. I definately give it a 4 star over all rating, and if/ and when we get back that way we will stay here again!

Get Away
I would love to give this 5 stars but can not. To get to the parking spot we had to dive through a large mud puddle. A load of gravel would be a huge help. The door jam and seal show signs of rot. The portable A/C was not sufficient for the rainy weather. The tub w/ handheld shower is not easy to enter or exit with bad knees. But the price could not be beat.
