"The concept is novel and well executed. We were staying as part of a cycling tour down the Via Rhona, for which the location is perfect, with bespoke secure bike storage. The town is beautiful with lots of great restaurants, but I suggest you book ahead of time as they all get busy. The one big challenge we had was checking in. "We had a wonderful stay in the Chapoutier Gite "La Tour du Pavillon" in the midst of perhaps the best vineyard on the hill of Hermitage. A Syrah lover's dream. Although it is small (about 27 sq m/290 sq ft per the description) it is so well equipped. The staff was extremely helpful for check in and check out, and quickly took care of the one maintenance issue we encountered even though it was very late in the evening. Such a magical location and we hope to return again soon."

I was unfortunate that when I arrived parking restrictions and road closures for the music festival made it difficult to get to the flat. At other times free parking nearby was not a problem.
