“We stopped for 1 night. The rooms were absolutely spotless, had everything you needed for a B&B. We were able to check in sooner than 3pm. the food was lovely. Great location, there was a hotel with a bar within about a 15 min walk. The couple who own it were really friendly. Weve already booked up to go back in june.”

“Room was fine, tea and coffee wasn't very nice and no complementary biscuits. No magnifying mirror in the bathroom. States Brompton however 8 miles away. Bed was really uncomfortable. Evening meal was nice, 10% surcharge on you bill! Wine expenses! Breakfast was so so. Waited a long time for someone to come to the checkin fest on arrival and departure. Probably would try an alternative hotel ”

“Lovely stay - staff were very friendly and welcoming, room was lovely, clean and good amenities. Breakfast was delicious and lots of options. Great location for walking the wall and lovely views. ”

“A lovely stay in a beautiful part of the world. We stayed in one of the accessible rooms, so can’t comment on the other accommodation, but our room was clean, if a little dated. The real positives were the staff, genuinely lovely and welcoming – along with excellent food and a great selection of local beers on tap. We also enjoyed chatting with some fellow guests who were repeat visitors, which says a lot about the place. Overall, a relaxed and friendly hotel in a fantastic location, and……

“We stayed on a Saturday night. Dinner was excellent, homemade fair price. Definitely recommend reservations for dinner. Breakfast was enjoyable, staff was pleasant and the conversation with other hotel guests allowed us an opportunity to meet the other hotel guests and gain the insights of their home countries. This stay is highly recommended.”

“This is a classic quaint, village inn, excellent food, and very comfortable folksy rooms with loft beds. The proprietor and all the staff are super helpful and friendly. A perfect spot to hike directly to the best spots of Hadrians Wall.”

“The bar was well stocked great pub atmosphere. Our twin room was lovely and spacious. Beds were comfy. Host were friendly left us in peace. The back door was easy quick exit for leaving. There is room for improvement on the corridor to the stairs of our room. Overall would happily stay again. Did not try the food.”
