“Lovely hotel in a great location”

“Good location, just what we needed for a couple of nights”

“Although the hotel facilities were good and the location was very central, our room was above the bar which was a club on Saturday night. The music was really loud till midnight. Although the web site mentioned that they had a DJ, we hadn't expected to be right above it.”

“A lovely place to stay with genuinely attentive and kind staff who made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and very family-friendly — even the other guests were friendly, which added to the experience. It felt comfortable and homely, and I’d happily stay again.”

“Stayed one night at the Shrewsbury rooms from start to finish everything was great we stayed in room one on ground floor well the decor the cleanliness everything was lovely would definitely stay here again. Nice little touch of takeaway cups if you want to leave with a coffee lived this. Only thing is the pillows where a little to firm for me. “The room, a junior suite was clean and tidy but we spent over an hour to get the TV working. We were advised that the maintenance man wasn't on duty so we finally figured it out for ourselves. Next problem, couldn't access the WiFi on either the guest or staff log on. No food available and no bar in the hotel so we would have been better off staying in a budget hotel. The plus point, the historical interest. I hope that this beautiful hotel can get some new investment from somewhere as it……

“The beautiful setting and views of the river Severn were wonderful. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals were of very good quality. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we would certainly come back to the Riverside Inn which was perfectly situated for day trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and David Austin Roses, among other places.”

“Gorgeous hall with lake view, super helpful staff , comfortable room, great breakfast … unfortunately the jacuzzi and thermal suite in the spa were not working so for a weekend spa break it’s not good luckily we had other things planned and for us it was a lovely weekend escape”

“Just got home after a lovely stay at Rowton Castle. The staff were amazing could not do enough for you. Food was good and excellently presented. The grounds were amazingly kept. First visit but definitely not the last.”

“We had a fantastic stay! The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, and in an excellent location. The kitchen and living area were both well-equipped and comfortable, making it a great place to relax. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. One small suggestion for improvement: the laundry took quite a while to complete a cycle, so providing a few additional instructions for using the washer and dryer would be helpful for future guests.”
