“My wife and I recently celebrated our 50th anniversary at the Hacienda San Angel in Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. We were in there for a week and had an amazing stay. It was located just a few minutes from the beach. Everything about the hotel was perfect. Our room and the entire hotel for that matter was full of art works, sculpture and paintings. “Upon arrival we were a little disappointed that hat the rental did not have a view as described in the listing. The balcony actually faces a brick wall. However, after a couple of days we realized that it was not important because the unit was well equipped and the top floor patio and plunge pool offered us everything we needed. The building is close to restaurants, the beach and the Malecón and unlike many of the others in the area, has a ground floor elevator. ”

It’s a wonderful location to enjoy the waterfront boardwalk and shops, so definitely plan a few days at this hotel. However it is quite a distance (30 minute taxi ride) from the airport if you just need an overnight stay to catch an early flight. ”
