"We came into town for the George Strait concert and chose this hotel based on the listed check-in time of 11 a.m. When my husband and I arrived, we were abruptly told—very rudely—that check-in was actually at 3 p.m. Fine, things happen. We came back at 3:20 p.m. to a lobby packed with about 50 people, all trying to check into rooms we had already paid for. The manager came out and, in a completely unprofessional tone, said, “There are 60 of you trying to check in and not all of y’all are getting rooms.” Then she disappeared into her office, leaving her employee to deal with an understandably frustrated crowd. We were told to come back at 3, yet somehow there still weren’t rooms available. After over an hour of everyone standing in the lobby trying to get answers, she finally started assigning rooms. At one point, the hotel doors were locked, preventing people from entering or leaving, which made the situation even more uncomfortable and chaotic. When we finally got to our room, it only had one towel, and there was no one available to even ask for another. The room itself was hot, like the air wasn’t working properly. The elevator smelled strongly of urine, and despite the listing advertising “room darkening curtains,” there were none. Honestly, this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. If we hadn’t already paid, we would have slept in our truck. The manager even threatened not to issue refunds after telling people they might not get rooms at all. Don't stay here."
