“It was perfect! The minute we walked through the door we felt at home. I have never stayed in a carriage house so I was unsure what the experience would be like. Jen and Mike were the perfect hosts. Plus it is in the perfect location from campus and downtown. We will absolutely return!”

“10/10! The property looks just like the pictures! This place is beautiful and just as pictured and described. The check in process was easy, the host communicated very well and was available to assist with any questions I had. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots & pans, cutlery, cutting boards literally EVERYTHING you need to make a home cooked meal; you just bring the food. It was quiet and away from all worldly distraction. There were so many great books on the property, games, puzzles you...

“Great property, great stay at a very nice cottage. We visited for the weekend for Penn State’s homecoming. Close to the stadium, easy access to I-99 and plenty of food options w/in 3 miles. Two bedrooms w/king size beds and a couch w/a trundle. Very comfortable w/TV, patio, firepit, and charcoal grill. The worse part of the weekend was the non-stop rain on game day.”

“This property was the perfect distance from PSU as we were there to move our daughter in for her sophomore year. We don’t like staying right in State College and this was the perfect distance to avoid the hustle and bustle of college move in. The owners were very helpful with dining options and things to do in the area. We will definitely stay here again. I even discovered a Hobby Lobby just a quick 10min drive away! 😊”

“Beautiful quaint cabin 15 minutes from Penn State. The hosts are the nicest people. Stayed for the weekend so we could go to the game. Was the perfect place to stay. There’s so much family history in that cabin, was glad we could stay there. ”

“The charming cottage was the perfect location from which to explore Bald Eagle State Park, State College and the entire area. The cottage also has a gas grill right on the front porch and a lot of room to spread out. My husband and daughter rode their dirt bikes during the day, while I visited the Seven Mountains Wine Cellars and nearby towns. Our hosts, Will and Dana, were extremely responsive which made for a stress free stay. ”

“3 generations stayed at the cottage for a Penn State football weekend. The cottage was clean and check in was easy. Note that the ceilings are a bit short making the top bunk in one bedroom best suited for a child. The Start Park is beautiful, but does have you on some winding roads getting too and from places like State College”

“I planned on spending my birthday in happy valley and searched all over for a place, then I found Lakewood cottage. I talked it over with the other couple that came with and it was an easy yes for the 4 of us. The place wasn’t far from the stadium and easy to get to. It was clean and tidy and overall an amazing stay for the weekend. We would definitely stay here again.”

"Lo que no me gustó fue que nunca me limpiaban la habitación, me hospedé 3 días, aunque mi reservación era para 4, pero nunca entraron a hacer limpieza, ni a cambiar la bolsa de papel del baño ni nada, nunca había estado en un hotel con mala atención en cuanto a estos servicios. La verdad tenía un concepto diferente, deberían de cambiar esta costumbre para huéspedes que nos quedamos más de una noche, porque es terrible estar con la basura de tres días, por eso decidí venirme un día antes. "
