“Comfortable, clean caravan. Beautiful view over looking the lake. ”

“Booked this lodge last minute as we wanted to catch the heatwave. Absolute perfect location. We have been to the lakes several times but never bassenthwaite. Brought the paddle boards and literally a 30 seconds walk to the water. So quiet, stunning views, just perfect. Short drive into keswick too. The Lodge is really modern and was clean and well presented. Had everything you needed for a comfortable break away. In fact the only negative thing we could say is that we had to come home! “Thanks for leaving some basic essentials, much appreciated. Nice comfortable stay for the weekend. Quiet location not far from Windermere. Only improvement would be WiFi onsite which the kids would have appreciated.”

“We have stayed before and loved it. The bonus was the pub too. And dog loved it! Will definitely re book”

“Clean, family friendly in a great location.”

“Without doubt - the most idyllic place with stunning views I’ve ever experienced. A return visit is definitely on the cards. The lodge is beautiful and pristine and the beds are unbelievably comfortable. Just sitting in the living area with the folding patio doors wide open, looking out onto Catbells is simply bliss. I can’t rate this place enough. 5 star rating for definite.”

“Lovely place. Very quiet, the hut was spotless. Matt was brilliant too, gave us all the info we needed before we arrived and just said give me a shout if you need anything which is perfect. Already looking at next year! 100% I would recommend!”

“Fantastic base for our holiday - perfect location. The track to get to the retreat is quite steep but a good size parking space when you get there. Lodge was clean, tidy and had everything you need to spend a fabulous week in the Lakes. Will definitely return as soon as we can! And thanks for sending us the beautiful weather as well”

“Without doubt, the best equipped lodge we have ever stayed in. From kitchen equipment, thoughtful decor to the many doggy accessories and lovely decking furniture made this a wonderful family holiday (6 adults). Add to that the stunning hot tub and lake views, what more could you need. We will hopefully be back soon and would definitely recommend.”
