“Simply perfect for a memorable stay in the heart of Dartmoor. We hadn't planned to stay until a few days before hand, but having seen the fantastic weather forecast decided to book (initially) a 1-night stopover on our way from Shropshire to Looe in Cornwall. “We stayed on Thursday and Friday 9th to11th April. The receptionist described our room as deluxe, it was more like bijou, in other words small. Staff were very friendly. The bar wasn’t individually manned, and there was no night staff on site. In our opinion, this gave the premises the impression of a B and B pretending to be an hotel . “Arrived and met by friendly staff. However on entering the room could clearly see room was dated and requires an overhaul. Brown carpet - stained and dirty in many areas. Furniture chipped and dated. Bed extremely uncomfortable and mattress topper has been added however mattress had fold in the middle and lumps - very uncomfortable. Curtain are not blackout and office opposite has digital adverts going all night so constant flashing of lights through curtains. Bath - which we paid extra for full……
