Charlie On The Sea Arpoador

"The location was great. Easy access to Ipanema and Copacabana. Food and activities were all in walking distance. The room itself was modern and clean but not very well designed. The bathroom was extremely small. Only one person can shower at a time. Checkin was horrible and communicating with Charlie host on whatsapp and site was awful. They waited until last minute to approve my documents which I supplied a week before when directed to. The staff at the apartment were very helpful."

"Very helpful, pleasantly sweet staff members who spoke multiple languages. The breakfast included in the mornings were perfect, tasty, and plentiful. You never went a moment without seeing service staff cleaning the rooms/hallways, etc. or maintaining the vending machines. Front desk was very helpful and efficient in their processes. Very "cute" hotel - not too flashy but not too grungy either. The pool area is also very nice and relaxed (get the hot-tub part working again, and y'all have a near perfect stay at Copacabana). Also, view from the roof is worth the price of the room itself. Great for locals and especially those traveling from abroad for the 1st time."

"We enjoyed our stay! We booked the triple bedroom and it was comfortable. Very close to the beach and beach promenade! We enjoyed the neighborhood and felt safe walking around day/night. Walking distance to great selection of restaurants and we took uber to other restaurants, tourist areas."

"Fantastic staff, without them this place wouldn’t be that great but they really are excellent. Great location, a few minutes walk from Ipanema beach and Copacabana. Great breakfast, a lot of choice including healthy granola, fruit and yoghurt. The room was ok, big and a reasonably comfy bed, the floor was a bit dirty. Everything is white including bright white lights which make it look like an institution and white shows all the scuff marks. Many of the light switches didn’t work or we couldn’t figure them out. The towels were threadbare and looked grey from being washed so many times and our cotton bedding looked old and was very frayed. If you can put up with that then this place is a pretty good deal for the price especially for the good location."
