"Excellent location. Restaurants, shopping, Old Town and New Town are all very close. Clean, and reasonably well appointed. Be advised: there is no elevator. We had a first floor apartment, but still had to navigate two flights of stairs. Parking could be problematic but we didn’t have a car. We would stay there again."

"Heads up to North American travellers. No A/C but there was a fan provided. Tissue (Kleenex) not provided or face clothes. No chest of drawers either. The room was small but did the trick. We were on the 3rd floor which is really the 4th floor. It can be really tiring hauling luggage and your tired legs up the stairs. "

"Even though the apartment was clean and very nicely laid out, the clothes dryer did not work, and I was left with soaking wet clothes as I was leaving. The management company only said that I must have overloaded the dryer, but this is absolutely not true, as it was only a few items and they were very wet. I used the dryer properly and it does not work, just be warned when you stay there that this is an issue. "

"Overall, Destiny Scotland -Distiller's House was quite nice. Very nice neighborhood. About 15-20 minute walk to the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. Lots of nearby restaurants and other services. I'm from the US. It's unusual to rent a place and have zero physical interaction with anyone at all. I was emailed a door access code, both for the front security door and our room. We were on the 3rd fld a fair climb. Also,)"

The West End is an easy walk from many of the main attractions. "The hotel's location is just away enough from all the hustle and noise of the Royal Mile, but also close enough of a walk that you're there in less than minutes. Very Modern Hotel

"This little hotel was a great place to stay as a family in Edinburgh. It is a 2 min walk to the Tram which takes you right into the heart of the city in 20 mins. The staff was fantastic and very helpful. They stored our luggage when our flight landed early in the morning, and got us a slightly early check in. The room was very compact (in comparison to our North American standards) but had a great modern layout and we fit us and all our luggage in. The shower was right next to the bed and in the main part of the room, which was a little unusual, for us, but as long as your a family, or friendly, it’s not a big deal. We would highly recommend a stay here to any family looking for a great place to stay just outside the main city. "
