“Just step away from the airport. Room is clean and the facilities are fit. Noise from plane is not at all. Room temperature is comfortable in the early winter. Great place to stay for early flight or late arrival.”

“I had a very nice stay at the Open Arms Hotel. The staff were very welcoming and made me feel at home. The room was first class with a view over the village green and very comfortable. The lounge area with the open fire is lovely and relaxing being able to have a pre- dinner drink and review the menu. “Possibly the worst place I’ve ever stayed. I didn’t receive the check in instructions, so on arriving had to spend around an hour trying to figure things out. There are no staff at the property and the phone number on their website is incorrect. Room had no bin, no mirror or tea & coffee facilities. This is a basic. No outdoor lighting and slippery broken decking steps is a health and safety hazard. Another guest kept leaving the main door open, and one night I took my dog out in the night to……

“We found the place easily. Parking was fine. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was small but fine for a night. The bed though was made with an old, dainty iron frame. It creaked a lot at the slight movement. Public transportation is nearby. We even walked back from downtown Edinburgh.”

“The apartment was in brand new condition and was excellently laid out with separate kitchen/lounge and sleeping areas. The kitchen was well equipped and very functional. This would be a great place to stay for anyone who wanted to visit Edinburgh for a few days. We also liked the large flat screen smart TV. “This is a lovely hotel, well situated and very clean and well maintained. I was expecting a cosy room and was not disappointed. The room I had had a flight of stairs from the entrance door to the bedroom which were a bit steep and could be a struggle for some, so if that was a problem I’d ask about it when booking. The automated check in was very smooth. Parking is relatively easy in the street at weekends but more limited at other times.”
