"Everything about this place was absolutely amazing! The room & view of the river was breathtaking. Everything was super clean and peaceful. My husband and I actually forgot the code to our room when coming back after a night out. It was 1am and within 10 minutes customer service was on the phone and helped us get in with no problems at all. I highly recommend staying at the skowhegan. We will definitely be returning in the future. "

"This home is absolutely beautiful! The view from the living room that greets you when you first walk in is breathtaking. The main bedroom is an oasis - high ceilings with a beautiful and unique light fixture, and separate doors off to a private deck. The kitchen had everything we needed to spend several evening leisurely cooking family meals. We also had a great time with a family air hockey tournament one night, and spent one lovely day paddling around the lake. Lots of great hiking in the area; we ourselves were finishing up some mountains for the New England 67 list and this was a great home base.Communication with the hosts was excellent. These folks are the best! I highly recommend this home, wouldn’t change a thing!"

"Our reason for staying here was not because we were interested in the Sugarloaf Mountain area, but because it was the only hotel we could find for that night of our trip. ~ So, I would recommend it to anyone interested in all that Sugarloaf Mtn. has to offer. It's a beautiful hotel. We at dinner at the "45 North" restaurant located in the hotel because we didn't want to drive around looking for somewhere else, BUT order was very tasty, especially for the prices. ~ We didn't use any other amenities, but I'm sure they're top-notched. ~ We would not stay there again, because it was located out of our way and way too above our budget. Again, though, if someone likes what Sugarloaf Mtn. has to offer, I would highly recommend. "

"Finding the house took some scouting. The Alley was not marked. Once we got to the house. we were surprised how quiet it was. Loved the hardwood floors. Only More dishes would have been nice. Place settings for 4 when we had 5."
