Fort Walton Beach Pousadas

"The floor in our "upgraded room" was disgustingly dirty. Made our socks turn black, and my toddler's bare feet looked very dirty, like he had been playing outside for hours after walking around the room for a short time period. The laundry services in multiple buildings were out of order. There were also unexpected charges put on my credit card that were not communicated by the staff at check-in or check-out. I was very disappointed with the way the staff member communicated with me when I called after the trip to discuss these charges. If there had been open up front communication, I would not have been upset, but they handled the situation very unprofessionally and made no attempt to make it right. The beach was wonderful, but this hotel does not include beach service for chairs and umbrellas like others we have stayed at. They also apparently charge you to park in their parking lot, on top of the other room costs and fees. I would not choose to stay here again in the future. "

"Beach access is great. Breakfast made to order instead of continental was delicious. Pool & lazy river very nice. The hot tub is a hot mess! Overrun with little kids & NASTY! It was brown & never could get in due to children anyway. The seating area outside is lacking in music/entertainment. They only lit one of the two fire pit tables so everyone was huddled around the one.There is an outside bar area that has music but you can’t here it in seating area over the pool & a/c noise. They never did turn the lights on for ambiance. As for the room, adequate but nothing special. Over all - Not worth the higher price - Meh. "

"Hands down the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Was supposed to be smoke free. Halls were full of smoke. The room was filthy. No hot water and the air conditioner was not working. We checked in a little before 10. The person at the front desk was very nice but they closed at 10 so there was nothing we could do. We tried to tough it out but it was too much. We ended up leaving. Hotels.com you really need to remove this hotel from your offerings. "

"We enjoyed our stay at the Beal House! I can't think of anything that wasn't great. We really enjoyed that there was a restaurant/bar right on the property. The walk to the beach was short and our view from the balcony was amazing. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Yes. Very welcoming to our 2 pets. Gave us an upgrade to a suite which was really nice. The room was a tad out dated but couch and bed very comfortable. Air conditioning worked great however the seal to the front door was missing and we heard wind noise from the windy conditions. Our room had a fantastic view of the gorgeous white sandy beaches and crystal blue water. This place is just gorgeous. The room was very clean and had plenty of towels and upgraded soaps, shampoo, conditioner and skin lotion. Overall, very nice and the young gentleman that checked us in was very nice and friendly. Made you feel welcome. "
