“I did not get to stay at the OVO, I booked the wrong date (my error), but having paid Expedia for insurance that would alow me to make changes to the booking, the venue wanted to charge a handling fee that was 100% of the room cost. seeing that it would have cost me the full room cost on top of whatever the actual day would cost me I decided not to cancel and to book elsewhere.”

“We stayed a couple of week days and were allocated a lovely room in the annex. Bed was really comfortable and room was well decorated. Lovely quiet location. Food in the restaurant was excellent too. I recommend the hanging seafood kebab. We attended a family event in the on-site function room and this was well catered. One couple decided to stay the night even though they lived locally as there were already a number of us staying there for the family event. The last remaining room was a family……

“The drive resembles an entrance to building site, large pot hoke. Wall paper peeling off in bathroom, bed mattress bigger then bed base/6 inches over hang but was comfortable. Heavy duty curtains r/h hanging on by 2 clips, tv stand broken & lots of dust + no back up toilet roll. Didn't go down for second breakfast as it's not even continental. Minimum of thing's offered & dining room so dusty. Over all I could mention more thing's & it's a shame as the building is beautiful. With maintenance &……

“Room clean . Comfortable bed complimentary water . Biscuits and good selection of teas and coffee even hot chocolate. Staff amazing couldn’t be more helpful. Breakfast amazing good parking plenty of spaces. The only downside for not very tall people the bath was quite high to get in to have a shower. Overall a lovely place to stay”

“This was one of the best places I have stayed in a long time. The look of the Ribchester Arms, when we arrived, was impressive. We had a very large room and bathroom, both very modern with a 'fridge and juices, milk, drinks and biscuits. The staff were very helpful and looked after us. Breakfast was freshly cooked and pretty good. We ate there a couple of nights and the food was wonderful. A recommended place to stay .”

“The common area was clean as was the linen. Staff was non existent did not realise was a self service accomodation. Parking was there but I did not need it. The room carpet could do with shampoo and the cupboard with dusting . The bathroom fixture though looked new could do with upgrade.. .”

“We stayed in a yurt. It was bliss after the very warm days to sit outside on our little deck and wander in and out of our bedroom. Lying in the most wonderfully comfortable bed and watching the stars and ( as it turns out) lighting and heavy rain was just magical. clean comfy, and an amazing generous breakfast as well!”

“What a terrific spot! The bar was comfy, and cosy; the room clean, and tastefully decorated with a comfy bed, and wonderful view of the viaduct and Whernside. And, the fish & chips - exceptional! For us, the staff made our stay, Will, Courtney, Angela, & Val, couldn't do enough for us, despite a very busy bank holiday weekend. “I booked a standard ensuite double room but upgraded to the Tudor Suite. I chose this hotel because it is hundreds of years old, which is something we don’t get to experience much in the USA! The hotel obviously has all the charm of such an old place and would be awesome for a romantic getaway (although I was traveling alone on this trip!). There is lots of parking, which is free.
