"If you are looking for an historic experience with exceptional staff this is your place. It is very convenient to Bates College where we attended a public event. That put us arriving after hours, but the staff stayed up to get us comfortable to our room."

"good price, good location. will stay again"

"We had a quick one night stay in the area. The hotel and rooms were clean, although dated and a little tired. It was totally perfect for what we needed. Breakfast was very good with several options. Beds were comfortable, and everything worked well in the bathroom. Despite odd location, it was quiet. Nice to have a gas and Dunkin so close. We would stay here again if in the area."

"Honestly, this property and the whole experience exceeded all my expectations (which were already pretty high). Kent and the team were so accommodating, making sure that we had everything that we needed and were available at any time. They made special plans to accommodate some friends for a day visit and were so kind and helpful. The property itself was so perfect for what we wanted and the dog so enjoyed the freedom that only a private island can bring! Thanks, Kent, for a very memorable stay....
