“We’ve stayed here for one night. The receptionist is quite friendly, small terrace water front view is good however there are lots of fly at front door of room. It’s scary as we need to open/close door quickly, otherwise the fly will run into room. When I talked with the female receptionist, she said they also feel weird but nothing there to attract fly though. All we can do is using the mosquito racket to catch fly…. And if you have heavier luggage, no elevator only stairs. Besides there are……

“Excellent hostess Lili - a wonderful Soul. The breakfasts provided delicious. The Davis Brook Retreat such a serene place for rejuvenation. We spent majority of our time on chaise lounges in the back yard listening to the song birds and wind chimes. A wee disappointment was the pool not really heated. Nowhere in website did it say pool not heated. Managed to get into pool once but not for long - rather cold. Did use hot tub once also. Overall a lovely stay. Will go again.”

The location of the hotel was ideal, allowing us to walk to nearby breakfast spots and the waterfront shopping, restaurants and bars.”

“The hotel was clean and the front desk and dining staff were very helpful. However, most of the hotel is original, dating back to the 90's. The second time I stayed there in a month, I was upgraded to a renovated room, so that was nicer. Note: There are no Smart TV's, only cable available, no USB outlets, ( they have extensions cords in several outlets) and the pillows were chippy foam. If you like that kind of pillow, or aren't fussy, then you'll be ok. There is a very old school coffee……
