“Overall the stay was excellent the hosts were amazing and flexible suggesting places to eat for dinner nearby. The breakfast was delicious. The room was to a high standard and the bathroom was clean with a great shower. Only two reasons it didn’t get a 5 star. The road into the hotel is a dirt track and we had heavy rain and the potholes or rather gorges were filled with water and impossible to see how deep. You had to drive under 5 mph to try to retain the floor of your car. The second was……

“Sadly the friendliness and helpful nature of the staff cannot excuse some of the basic fundamental issues that I have experienced over the last few stays at this hotel. I decided to stay here as I am a keen swimmer and the facilities here are great in that regard. Unfortunately I seem to be unable to get the same quality of room between stays even though I always book the same room type. If it’s not noisy pipes it is television sets that don’t work properly or some other basic requirement that……

“Yes and Yes. 1 point. As an older person, my head is dropping to bits. I have a single tooth denture. Such thing is quite small. I tend to brush it under a running tap. Had I done this, there would have been a severe danger of it disappearing down the plughole and lost for ever (Cost £250). Because the plug mechanism is missing which leaves the drain hole completely open! (Room 5).”

“Individual chalets. Motel style with ample parking. Rooms heated day and night. Shower hot and powerful. Bed comfortable. Pub and restaurant on site. Staff work hard but avoid breakfast Sunday morning 9 a.m.rush hour . We waited 35 minutes for order to be taken it arrived 20 minutes after. Easy to find as 5 minutes from motorway junction. Enjoyable and relaxing stay. ”
