“We began our stay in Ischia recuperating from the trip at Samiramis. We moved Albergo Macri as a home base for day trips around Ischia and to Naples, Pozzuoli and the Amalfi Coast. We were very conveniently located to take ferries and buses for those day trips. There is an excellent restaurant just down the block, and many more around the port and further into Ischia Porto. The owners were very hospitable. Excellent value. ”

“This is the perfect lodging for your stay in Ischia. It's a short drive from the Ischia marina, where the ferry drops you off, but the public bus (less than 3€ a ride) is right outside of the hotel to get you back to the Ischia Marina where there are countless bars and restaurants, as well as the main shopping on the island, or to Fario where you unlock another world of the island. So convenient! The hotel staff themselves are so accommodating, as well. The staff during our stay didn't speak……

“Via Roma on Ischia begins in the port. Hotel Conte is at the start and continues close to shore bringing you to the point. It has so many places to eat and shop that you don't need a car unless you want to explore other parts of island. I stayed 2 weeks and I was completely satisfied during my stay Staff were polite and accommodating. Rooms cleaned every day and spotless. I would definitely stay there again. I left at 5:30am to catch ferry and the night manager asked if I'd like a coffee or……

“One of the worst experience we have in a hotel. Furniture is rather old, the shower stall is small and its base leaks water. We had floods after our showers. We noticed small insects on our first night and thought that was isolated incidents. The second day we found the "headquarter" of the ants under the table. It is not a decent hotel at all, it is a only a "so so" hostel. ”

“This hotel had a lovely lobby, and a good atmosphere at the pool area with live music entertainment on one of the nights we stayed. Only complaints are the uncomfortable bed and tiny shower. But for the price we paid, this hotel exceeded our expectations. ”
