“A very welcoming place with friendly staff. The room was spacious and had everything that we needed. The food in the restaurant was good and plentiful and well priced. Beautiful location and ideal for walkers in the Ironbridge Gorge”

“Lovely place However, AC was not working and needed to be on when we arrived. Far to hot. When we tiried to turn on, it was broken. A fan was provided, which helped, . But as warmth is insured on arrival during colder days, AC needs the same consideration in the hotter temperatures”

“Lovely clean room, excellent staff, great kitchen. BUT… green light in room not conducive to good sleep, and the fire alarm went off at midnight, after which the excitement seemed to evoke some guests to chat and laugh through the night until 3am, then the same group of four men woke up and continued their frivolities from 5:30am until they left just after 7am. Not the staff’s fault. But the sound proofing is poor.”

“Beautiful location and view from our little balcony over the first Tee and 18th hole. Took my partner for his 50th and we had a lovely couple of days, the beers cold and the food was lovely. Had a round of golf which was challenging as very hilly and mostly blind holes. Great few hours out on the stunning course in sunshine though. Wharton has left the golf company group recently and has moved to new owners, both seemed lovely and have some exciting improvements in mind, the staff already seem……

“Parking can be a problem if arriving later in the evening. Follow instructions given by owners. Breakfast is great staff friendly and helpful. Keep entry instructions handy as had a little trouble finding codes. Rooms 7 and 8 are not where you'd think !”

“Our room had a balcony/roof top area which was good. The bed was comfortable. The price was good and it was a good base, only 10 minute walk to Bridgnorth centre. Parking was available across the road at £4 for 24 hours. One of the chairs was partly broken in our roof top area and the wall mounting for the shower head was poor. The extractor fan in the bathroom did not work. We had a 2 night stay and we were happy with our stay overall. We had a breakfast on our last morning which was very good.”
