"We had a great time visiting the Outer Banks and staying here. A perfect location and everything we needed was provided."

"The cottage was very clean, nicely furnished, and well-appointed (beds, linens, towels, kitchen, etc.). The only drawback for us was the passing vehicle noise as the cottage is situated just a few yards from a busy road. This apparently has not been an issue for majority of guests so maybe just us. Host(s) were great communicators and have done everything "within their power" to provide a wonderful stay."

"House is great although it could have used a better cleaning. Screen doors will not stay in place, they fall out when opening. Terrible problem with ants in kitchen and downstairs table and bedroom. You cannot place food on counters. Actually found a couple ants in my car when I got home. I would definitely stay there again but the house just needs some work."

"We’d stayed at this property in the past, and on our return trip it did not disappoint. Lovely location, easy walk to an uncrowded beach. The amenities were super, particularly the pool and hot tub. The only difficulty was having to leave at the end of our week’s stay."

And speaking of charm, Mark is one of the most gracious hosts you will ever meet. I can't say enough, except that our best kept secret is secret no more!"

"Worked for us! The cottage is old, but in a great location. We were traveling with a dog, and this was one of the few pet friendly houses available."

"This is a very nice place. It is very well appointed and spacious. The home is as represented and has alot of nice extras like a pool and a hot tub. It is in a good location and easy walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Be aware that you have to coordinate linens and all the minor supplies for the house. You will also have a check out list of cleaning items. Overall, a great place!"

"The house is a little older which I’m cool with because I live in an older house, but do feel like it could be updated and fixed up a little more. It was clean, and communication with the owner was good, as well as the location. Overall it was a good experience."

"It was our second year at the house. It is cozy and as described. Nice, private neighborhood and beach. It could use new appliances and a more thorough cleaning but we had a great stay overall. We will be back next year!"

"Very old and dark. Clean. I mistook the two minute walk to the beach to mean it was on the beach. Couldn’t hear or see the ocean from this house."

"The home was very clean and organized. The community was quiet and relaxing and we were very close to two beaches. Hillcrest Beach is our new fav spot. As a family it was nice to have puzzles, games and books during our down time between activities. Definitely recommend and everything was in order. Also communication of needed information from owners was very much appreciated. Could not have asked for a better beach experience."
