"Ideal quiet location for what we were looking for. Good space and nice layout.
The beds weren’t terribly comfortable, but it was the cleanliness that really let the property down unfortunately. Cobwebs, general grease in the kitchen and an overriding smell of dog in the lounge."

"People have said this hotel was out dated but I think out dated suits what it is all about. I will stay here again."

"I had just developed a minor medical condition which means using a wheelchair. One to one safety briefing and a ground floor suitable room was provided. Friendly efficient staff and stunning views across Plymouth from the Penthouse restaurant."

"This is a wonderful, grand, historic building and retains the ambience of Victorian grandeur, even though there are a few scuffs and scrapes and rusted ironwork!. The reception staff were extremely welcoming and efficient and this was the case with all staff that we encountered including the breakfast staff. The room was beautifully decorated and fitted and was very comfortable with all amenities that you could want. Lots of sockets by the bed as well. Our room benefitted from a superb sea view. The breakfast was very good, though veggie/vegan sausages would have been a welcome addition. For the price we paid, this hotel was an absolute bargain and we would love to return here again. Perfect location for anyone visiting Plymouth."
"I changed my room a couple of days before to a twin after my husband no longer being able to come and it was no bother. The room was clean and comfortable.the food was beautiful, I would definitely stay again next time there’s a show on! Thank you "
