“Clean room. Easy check in. A nice mom and pop place in the country.”

“I wish the weather had been better as I was unable to avail myself to kayaking and evening entertainment. Room was small but cozy and rustic, lots of wood and evocative of summer camping in lakeside cabins. Very old time style of check-in, and the desk is not staffed late at night.”

“I rated everything as terrible because the motel canceled my reservation without telling me. Most likely because I had a cheaper price through expedia. The woman at the desk told me that they do not use any reservation site for bookings, they only book people who call the motel directly. I was left out in the cold. I asked for help in possibly finding a room and was told to drive 5 miles down the road to the grocery store and use an ad book there. I was extremely lucky that I knew someone……

“The family above our room was banging on the floor and yelling ALL night and we couldn’t sleep. Tried calling the office and left a voicemail but no call back nor did they speak to family. Had to blast the A/C and TV to try and get sleep. When I checked out the following morning all they said was, “sorry”. Will not go back. Poor customer service”

“Quiet and comfortable. Would be nice to have option to purchase a breakfast snack or fruit but not a big deal if you plan ahead. Pretty spot and short scenic drive to cooperstown.”

“It was surprisingly a good stay. The workout room needed attention as there was no water and towels available after the first day. Breakfast wasn’t the best but, its hotel breakfast Laundry machines were great. The only downside was I missed the checkout early by 1.25 hours and had to still pay for the room.”

“Ashling Acres is a beautiful and peaceful place in Hamilton! We always stay there when we back to Colgate to visit our son! Never disappoints!”
