"We spent a few days in Central Illinois to visit family and enjoy Lake Shelbyville. This property was fantastic. Nice and spacious. We loved the country setting. It was very peaceful. The owners are on property but we never saw them - just a vehicle passing by on the drive. The place had everything we needed to cook meals and keep house so I never needed to reach out. Even the teens and the dogs were happy! If you are looking for local attractions - we enjoyed Lake Shelbyville (especially paddle boarding at Lithia Springs marina), Little Theater on the Square in Sullivan (Hairspray was amazing!), and Okaw Valley Orchard (peach slushes, turnovers and apple cider donuts!). We will definitely come back here if we do a trip like this again. Thank you for a great family vacation!"

"This is our second time to stay. The town and people are wonderful. The owner is very responsive and we have never had an issue. Very reasonably priced for such a nice place. Centrally located and close to food and shopping. "

"You should put in a fire pit! We brought ours and was fine with it, but it would just be more convenient to have one. "

"Very comfortable stay; some confusing information. Before arriving, received a text about checking in online early, and in that process it stated pets were not allowed; however I had booked the site primarily because they allowed dogs and I was traveling with mine. When I got to the hotel I went to the desk and asked about pets; they do in fact allow pets. There was very littlte presence at the front desk. I stopped in to check out in the morning but no one was available. about half hour after leaving I got a text to check out online (not particularly convenient when driving). The hotel was great for the price but the management processes just a bit inconvenient."
