The room was clean, bed was NOT comfortable. Parking the 15 passenger rental van was a nightmare and a bear walked up about 10 feet behind us when we were unloading on the night we arrived. Ironically, the front desk had warned us when we checked in about bear activity in the area. He was not kidding, lol. Sadly, we were told at check out that the hotel won't be renewing it's land lease January 1st because the property was sold to the Aquarium and additional parking facilities were being built on the site. However, the hotel is constructing 3 new buildings on a property past the Edgewater Hotel. So, apparently River Terrace will be rebuilt elsewhere.
Note: No bears or humans were injured I think we just scared each other!
