“For us, just a one-night stay, but we arrived about 4pm on a Sunday afternoon, to find this is an extremely popular venue for Sunday lunches. The menu continued into the evening and we were able to see why it's so popular. A great meal, and then a lovely cooked breakfast the next morning. The room, facilities and bed were all comfortable and all in all, we had made a good choice in a quiet rural location.”

Well appointed, with bedside lights (one each side of the bed) and plenty of USB power sockets (A & C) both sides of the bed. Additional plug-in electric radiator provided, and tea/coffee/kettle with a couple of small packets of biscuits too. Very convenient for visiting Shrewsbury on foot, and not far from the railway station.”

“Good location if attending wedding at Burlton Manor. Pub was nice but unable to eat there during our stay as was told food wouldn't be served until 6.30pm and we had a wedding to attend at 7pm. Room was freezing cold- asked staff for heating on but was told its on a timer to come on after 5pm so spent the first hour after checking in at 4pm in the pub. Radiators didnt actually come on until around 5.45pm after informing staff again that it still wasnt on. Breakfast was small contenental……

“Would have been a 5 star review but I asked the first night if staff could kindly remind other residents to move away from the front steps of the building whilst smoking kate at night as it comes into the bedroom window. Second night I had to ask 3 different gentlemen to please move away as their smoke was keeping me awake and affecting my asthma. Two were very apologetic and moved but the 3rd I got abuse from and it was not nice😞.”
