Riverside Cottage

This stone cottage on the shore of the Rock River is filled with fun and luxurious amenities for group getaways. Highlights include a deck that overlooks a private beach and fire pit, ping pong/billiards and a large farmhouse table for board games, conversation and dining. Easy access to hiking and biking trails, fishing and a private boat ramp also makes it a great home base for outdoor enthusiasts.

This house boasts a private beach and boat ramp. Keep your eyes peeled for bald eagles and other wildlife around the property. Need more room? Add "Riverside Treehouse" next door and enjoy the river views and unique amenities at both homes.

Adjacent to a Christmas tree farm, horse barn and nature preserve, our neighborhood is a hidden gem of the Quad Cities.

2nd time was even better!
Stayed 4 days for a wedding event in the area, brought family with. 2 grandsons this time! The wedding events were great,,but the days spent at the River house were way better! The available pontoon boat and canoe got me and the kids out on the river for some awesome adventures and fishing! Bonfires at night were another highlight! Petting the beautiful horses in the stable next door was a daily routine(they loved the carrots we brought!) the fabulous hosts of this property are great people! Looking forward to the 3rd time very soon! Thank you Chris…..for everything!!

Amazing property and location
We were in town for a 2 day golfing event at the tpc Deere run course,it was a spectacular course! But the time we spent at the house was even better! Dinners and breakfast every day out on the deck overlooking the rock river was so relaxing! We met the owners who were so engaging And interesting to converse with…so much info was shared with us! Our meet and greet was a highlight of our stay! We also became fast friends with the beautiful horses that were pastured right in front of the house! The whole stay was magical!

Breathtaking views, amazing interior design and comfort, extensive exterior patio and play areas! We will defiantly be back to enjoy this comfortable and spacious retreat. Next time we just won’t use it for the overnight needs we had but use the whole place for our retreat that we need. Relaxing leisure playtime and culinary activities is what it’s all about. Come and stay you won’t be disappointed!

Early Thanksgiving
We loved our time in Chris's beautiful Riverfront home. It was a perfect home to spend an earlyThanksgiving with family. We visited an Apple Orchard and Pumpkin Patch and took a mice dinner cruise..The kitchen was well equipped for lots of cooking and additional storage for beverages. We enjoyed the large well lit deck overlooking the river. The location was tranquil. We enjoyed the fireplaces and tennis table. We would definitely stay here again and maybe the summer when we can utilize the river for Kayaks and such.

Great Weekend by the River
Our family had a phenomenal time staying here for the weekend. The house was clean and spacious. The view of Rock River from the back deck and firepit area was terrific, especially at sunset. Chris was responsive and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Great Getaway
The Riverside Cottage was a great place for an excellent getaway! Morning coffee on the deck overlooking the peaceful river to outdoor grilling and dining was all experienced by our group of friends for our annual Labor Day weekend get-together. We enjoyed staying at this spacious, well-appointed property!

Riverside Stay
Property is very well maintained and had everything we needed. The Rock River location is very peaceful. There’s plenty of room to spread out and the ping pong table and sand kept the kids occupied so my wife and I could enjoy sitting by the river.

Beautiful home in a great location
The home was as described. It was neat, clean and spacious. Perfect for our group which was Grandparents and grandchildren. The children loved the river where they spent hours tubing and fishing on the Fox River. The river was super convenient with a boat dock right outside the back door. Chris was great, super responsive even though we had nearly everything we needed right at our finger trips. Great place to stay with kids who want to enjoy the recreations of the Rock River.

Amazing riverfront home
What a beautiful home in such a tranquil setting! Chris, a fabulous host, graciously shares his immaculate, well maintained riverfront house. We planned a family stay-cation to celebrate my brother’s 50th birthday and wanted to stay somewhere that made it feel special. We hit the jackpot with this house - we felt transported to a peaceful getaway, and not like we were home in the QC! Could not recommend more highly.

River House on the Rock rocks!
We have family and friends in the QC area and decided to rent this house. It was such a great fit for us! Lots of room, comfortable bedrooms, nice kitchen and great views of the river. The house also boasts a lovely outdoor area with not only a spacious and well appointed deck, but a nice little fire pit waterside. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future. We enjoyed meeting Chris (the owner) and appreciated his quick responses.

Beautiful and Comfort
This is a beautiful high end home right on the river. It was great having 3 bathrooms as we went home for a wedding and myself and my two daughters all had our own bathroom to get ready. Responsive owner to any questions. Beautiful deck where we enjoyed brunch and mimosas watching the bird’s over the river. One thing to keep in mind, damage deposit is charged at time of booking. Originally we had reserved for 6 guests but due to unexpected circumstances my daughter’s spouses were not able to make it. No refund for the extra guest charge. 😢. All in all we really enjoyed our weekend and highly recommend this beautiful river home.

Awesome Place
This place is really clean and well taken care of. Large open living room, kitchen, diningroom makes it great to hang out together. It is well set up for 4-10 people easily. The deck is awesome and has 17 chairs with nice, comfortable patio furniture. Fire pit area is right on the river. This is right next to a boat ramp too. Really a great place !!f I would recommend it to anyone.

Rock River stay
Property was amazing and had everything we needed for a quick weekend get away. We had great weather and were able to enjoy a couple of fires during the day and the peacefulness of the river. The house is close to restaurants/grocery stores. The owner is super responsive if you happen to need anything during your stay.
