This giant bucket is all that remains of Big Muskie.

Big Muskie was a coal-mining dragline excavator, longer than a football field, weighing 12,200 tons and standing nearly 22 stories tall. It operated in southeastern Ohio from 1969 to 1991.

It was the largest machine ever to move on land.

The 220 cubic yard bucket could hold two full size buses.

"We were very lucky to snag this place for this weekend for a basketball tournament. It was right across the street from the Chieftain Center. It appears to be a recent renovation of a golf course clubhouse with beautiful high ceilings and windows. Everything was wonderful. The only downside is the weak wifi, but we were grateful regardless. The Urban Grille next door is great too."

"I loved that it was a nice older hotel that felt like going back in time. The rooms were nice, furnished with antiques with a sternwheeler theme. The location was walking distance from everything. There was a rooftop patio where you could sit & watch the paddlewheelers, barges & other boats go by or watch the moon rise. Very charming!"
